Parade of Flags

Parade of Flags

The Holland International Relations Commission invites community members to participate in the Parade of Flags at the 2024 International Festival of Holland.

Individuals, families, and groups are invited to carry the flag representing their homeland, that of their ancestors, or a country that has special significance to them; traditional dress is encouraged. Flags of all 193 United Nations member countries will be available, or you can bring your own flag. There is no fee to participate, but you much register in advance.

The Parade of Flags will begin at 7pm and will start at the Holland Civic Center, proceed down through the Farmers’ Market, south along Pine, west along 9th Street and return to the Civic Center front steps for a group photo. The parade route is fully paved and is an easy walk for little kids and accessible for those who need assistance.

The 2023 International Festival of Holland featured the first Parade of Flags with 79 West Michigan residents carrying 27 country flags. It was an exciting addition to our festival and we can't wait to see this parade grow each year!
