SPARKS! LAB 1:00-5:30

The Holland Museum hosts a Smithsonian Sparks! Lab experience for kids of all ages. This hands on invention workspace teaches children the Invention process using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Math).

Arts from Around the World 1:00-5:30

Culture Works hosts 6 hands-on art stations for all ages highlighting the artistic traditions of Aboriginal dot painting (Australia), Adinkra shape cloth printing (Africa), Ebru paper marbling (Eurasia), Beadwork (North America),
Papel picado and embroidery (South America), and Origami (Asia).

Passport Station 1:00-5:30

Kids, get your photo taken and create your own Festival passport! Take it to different Festival events to collect stamps as you celebrate the world. Hosted by the City of Holland Clerk’s Office.

Mancala Competition 1:00-2:30

Mancala is a centuries-old family of board games played in more than 99 countries around the world. Come test your Mancala skills! All ages welcome. No registration required, but let us know you’re coming so we can have a board ready for you! Prizes awarded to contest winners!

Drum and Dance Workshop with Samuel Nalangira 4:00-4:45

Using traditional, handmade African instruments and Samuel’s original music, kids will learn drumming techniques, rhythms, and African dance styles! All ages welcome. Kids under 8 need adult accompaniment.
